:: Episode 23: Sakaeguchi is a Dork

Summary
This episode begins with a quick recap of the points scored so far while the magical Oofuri Main Theme plays in the background. The current score is 3-4, and it's Abe's turn to bat. He roars in a rather menacing fashion, and the supporters start yelling his name. The Nishiuralings are COMPLETELY fired up, and Hanai demands that Abe quits fooling around and starts swinging. He does! And he hits, and gets on the base! It's Izumi's turn next. Tajima helps Abe along to base two while Izumi hits and makes it to the first base as well.
Next up is Sakaeguchi! Momoe's signs confuse him a little, so Suyama calls for a quick timeout, explaining the situation to him. Sakaeguchi is feeling really quite worked up right now, so he and Suyama do the hand holding thing that is Nishiura's specialty. With Suyama lending him his power, Sakaeguchi bats and manages to move the runners forward! All riiiight! It's Suyama's turn next, but since Sakaeguchi just drained his power, he fails.
Next up is gasp, Tajima! He gives his desperate teammates a wink and the thumbs up before stepping up to bat. Junta ends up throwing the sinker Tajima has had so many problems with, but it seems like Tajima has found a solution! He makes his reach a little longer by sort of slipping his bat through two of his fingers. It's a pretty extreme hit that manages to send both Abe AND Izumi back home! Nishiura has taken the lead once more! Next up is Hanai, and he fails. Let's all point at Hanai and laugh, guys! The bottom of the ninth inning is coming up next. Will Nishiura manage to keep the current score the way it is and win, or will Tosei catch up?

This particular shot never fails to give me chucks because Sakaeguchi looks SO spooky and Hanai looks SO uncomfortable.
