Catcher no Yakuwari (Catcher's Role)
Summary
Nishiura takes the bus to a swell little training camp out in the middle of nowhere! Mihashi gets sick on the bus ride, and Shiga makes Abe feed him some medicine. Abe sighs in annoyance at Mihashi's ridiculous personality, and Mihashi freaks out.
Once they arrive at the cabin, Momoe makes the team clean everything up and gather edibles. She takes Mihashi and Abe with them to give them some dysfunctional battery counseling special battery training, having Mihashi pose on top of a log while making sure to make fun of his dweebiness in the process. Abe does not like the idea of Mihashi learning to become speedier, as he's afraid he might lose his excellent control, but Mihashi really wants to improve his speed! Abe walks off all grouchy-like, muttering something like "Bah! Pitchers!"
After the practice, the battery returns to the cabin, where Shiga holds a goofy speech and they eat and stuff. Afterwards, there's some heartwarming Nishiura team bonding, while Mihashi sulks in a corner and Momoe and Abe have a talk about what it means to be a catcher (Abe having a really quick Haruna flashback in the process). Momoe grabs Abe's hands and says it'll be all right and that he should try doing exactly this to Mihashi. Abe's all like "WTF?"
Mihashi can't sleep even though they're getting up early to train tomorrow! OH NO!!!
